WHY – Gift exchange
HOW - $5 suggested donation to help cover food

        Our next Guys Night Out will be Monday, December 8th. It “officially” runs from 6:00-8:00 p.m., but as this time will be a little different. We will be meeting at Jeremy's house at 410 Susan in Lufkin. We are asking everyone to bring a gift for a gift exchange. The gift must cost or be worth no more than $1! If your gift exceeds this amount you will be used for target practice!
    Come yourself – and bring your father, son, brother or a friend! This is a rare and valuable time to just be guys and be real. It is for older boys and men of all ages.

    AS ALWAYS, it’s a suggested donation 5 bucks for food. Be prepared for a good time. We’ll be telling you news about CTO and upcoming outings (many outings fill up when they’re announced at GNO, so if you don’t come, don’t be surprised if you miss some outings), get caught up with each other, and have fun.

Stillwater Refuge Deer/Hog Hunt Outing October 24-26, 2008 (2 youth spots open)

Meeting and Departure: Meeting location will be: Home Depot parking lot, (The outskirts of the parking lot between Home Depot and Logan’s). Departure time will be at 5:00 PM, returning Sunday afternoon between 2:00PM-4:00PM. Ranger Lt. Doug Douglas will be transporting youth along with Jeremy Overby
Accommodations: We will be staying in a bunkhouse with campfire cooked meals.
Pursuit: We will be pursuing whitetail does, bucks and hogs.
Methods: Rifle & Bow.
Participants: This outing is limited to 2 hunters. We have a limited number of deer stands and sleeping space. Father Sons are welcome. FIRST COME FIRST SERVED!
Prerequisites: You need a hunting license with archery stamp if you are bow hunting and hunters safety card if you are 12 years or older.
You will need: Sleeping bag/bedroll, sunscreen, cap, insect repellant, camo clothing or dark colored, full body harness.
Dangers: Dangers on this outing include but not limited to; Snake encounters, (Poisonous and non-poisonous), exposure to sun and wind, briars, spiders, etc.
Ruggedness (1-10):    5
Contingency for Bad Weather: In the un-fortunate event of foul weather, we will tough it out.
Cost: Members $ 70.00 Non-members $ 85.00. Cost includes transportation, all meals, drinks, etc.
Important Note: As with all CTO outings, we will provide, nourishing meals and hydrating drinks. Any snack foods are welcome however; if you do not wish to share…keep them out of sight. Beside Bedroll/ sleeping bag, sunscreen, insect repellant, a good attitude and willingness to learn is a must!

WHERE – Tom Bullock’s in Crockett
WHY – Learning about reloading ammunition!
HOW - $5 suggested donation to help cover fuel

        We have resumed our Second Monday of Every Month tradition. Our next Guys Night Out will be Monday, October 13th. It “officially” runs from 6:30-8 p.m., but as this time will be a little different. We will be meeting in the parking lot of Carpenter’s Way church at 5:30 pm. We will then drive to Crockett and learn about reloading ammunition from Tom Bullock. He has been reloading ammunition for over 35 years.

    Come yourself – and bring your father, son, brother or a friend! This is a rare and valuable time to just be guys and be real. It is for older boys and men of all ages.

We’ll be telling you news about CTO and upcoming outings (many outings fill up when they’re announced at GNO, so if you don’t come, don’t be surprised if you miss some outings), get caught up with each other, and have fun.
